Rationale:
The Association SUPPORTS the increase as it will allow the Del Mar City Council’s compensation to be on par with similarly-sized cities, like Solana Beach and incentivizing more people to join City Council. Additionally, approving the measure will include a health insurance option as a part of the compensation, which was previously not offered to City Council members.Link to Policy Paper:

Rationale:
The Association supports Proposition B as it modernizes the expenditure limit to account for inflation and construction cost increases while exempting critical public safety facilities, thereby enhancing the city's ability to effectively manage and fund essential projects.Link to Policy Paper:
School Bonds
-
Rationale:
The Association SUPPORTS as Encinitas Union School District has demonstrated facilities needs and has developed plans that meet the rigorous standards on bond proposals that SDCTA has developed over decades of collective experience. The District has provided all necessary material needed for review and has provided evidence of adopting SDCTA policies and resolutions.Link to Policy Paper:

Tax Measures
-
Rationale:
The Association OPPOSES the measure due to its reliance on ballot box budgeting and the regressivity of sales taxes, which unfairly burdens low-income taxpayers who already disproportionately fund transportation infrastructure through fuel taxes, potentially pushing more San Diego households into poverty.
